Betty Faye Johnson Blankenship

Betty Faye Johnson Blankenship age 85 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Thursday, October 1, 2026 at her home.

Mrs. Blankenship was born in Welch, West Virginia on March 24, 1941 to Garland Johnson and Eva Lou Cooper Blankenship. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Russell Blankenship; son Arvil Johnson; grandchild Jesse Lee Blankenship, Jr. ; one sister and six brothers.

She is survived by her children Garland Johnson; Jesse Blankenship; Charlie Johnson and Betty Hagerman ; four sisters and two brothers; fifteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with burial to follow in the Cranberry Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
