Betty Lucille Copenhaver Johnson age 88 of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday April 21, 2022 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Johnson was born on November 14, 1933 in Wythe County, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Arwood Johnson.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Mike and Rebecca Johnson; William and Debra Johnson all of Fries, Virginia; five grandchildren Kayla McCoy; Denise Absher; Matthew Johnson; Carter Johnson and Ethan Johnson; four great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law Joyce and Walt Jennings; Shirley Crigger and a brother Jerry Copenhaver.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Atkins Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Greg Goodson officiating. There will be no visitation.
