Bertha Mae Stinson age 57 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 at her home.
Bertha was born on January 1, 1956 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina to Arthur Harris, Jr. and Alberta Weddington Harris.
She is survived by her husband Robert "Joe" Stinson of Galax, Virginia; son Maurice Kato Harris of Galax, Virginia; step-daughters and husbands Jennifer and Junior "Bucky" Stiles; Nikki Graham and Teddy Cole all of Galax, Virginia; step-son and wife Robby and Brandie Stinson of Kings Mountain, North Carolina; sisters Georganna Covington; Judy Dunlap; Loretta Harris all of Charlotte, North Carolina; brothers and sister-in-law Eugene and Margaret Harris; Arthur Harris and Larry Harris all of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandchildren K.T. Harris and Miracle Harris; fourteen step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Monday, July 8, 2013 at 4:00 PM in the River Hill Baptist Church with the Evangelist Gloria Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 3:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the River Hill Baptist Church.
