Berlie Cecil Goad age 91 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Goad was born in Carroll County, Virginia on August 11, 1926 to William Benjamin and Mattie Susan Webb Goad.
He is survived by his wife Remona Snow Goad; foster son and wife Connie and Valarie Williams all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; special niece Delores Williams; special caregivers Jennifer Swinney; Kayla McMickle; Jackie McMickle and Kimberly Graham Gonzalez.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Baywood Rescue Squad.
