Belinda Louise Kohl, age 65 of Galax, Virginia, passed away Saturday February 10, 2024 at her home.

Belinda was born In Provo, Utah on November 27, 1958 to Carson Willie Brock and Hilda Louise Flowe.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Brenda Kimble and her husband Raymond Earl Kohl.

She is survived by children and spouses, Katie Kohl, James and Liz Kohl, Kristen Bader, Jason and Jenn Kohl all of Galax, Virginia; Joshua and Emily Kohl of Raleigh, North Carolina; Jacob and Jessica Kohl of New York City; brother and sisters David Brock, Susan Gower, and Deborah Ortiz; eleven grandchildren; Rylen Jones; Ivy Jones; Jonathan Kohl; Jeremy Kohl; Katherine Kohl; Joseph Kohl; Eleanor Kohl; Gabriel Kohl; Samuel Kohl; Hannah Kohl and Grace Kohl; several nieces and nephews.

Belinda was a hard working, compassionate, and talented individual.  She loved her work as a nurse, playing the piano and organ, serving in many capacities at church, being a wife, mother, and grandmother, and serving others.  Belinda had a great capacity for helping others to feel loved and cared for.  She was always there to support and counsel her husband, children, grandchildren, and others with a smile and some kind words.  Belinda loved to go to the beach with her husband Ray just to sit and watch the ocean and appreciate the beauty of the earth that God created. Throughout her life, Belinda lived with her family in many countries and touched the lives of many people. Belinda was faithful and strong until the very end and has entered into her eternal rest with her Heavenly Father and her eternal companion. She is greatly loved and greatly missed.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 15 at 2:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Fort Chiswell (1136 Fort Chiswell Road, Max Meadows, VA 24360) with Bishop Warren Gwynn officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
