Beatrice Almeda Bond Hawks age 90 of Fries, Va. passed away Monday, May 28, 2007 in Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Hawks was born on March 26, 1917 in Lynchburg, Va. to the late Joseph & Pauline Worley Bond. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Fielder Hawks. She is survived by a daughter Patricia Ann Hawks of Fries, Va.; sisters Geneva Harris of Galax, Va.; Rita Kane of Fries, Va.; brothers & sisters-in-law Ben & Avery Bond of Fries, Va.; Don & Barbara Bond; Otis & Doris Bond all of Galax, Va.; Gilmer Bond of Lake Okeechobee, Florida; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 3:30 PM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Ron Fredericks officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
