Beatrice Stanley Cox's Obituary
Beatrice Stanley Cox age 92 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 in the Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital.
Mrs. Cox was born in Carroll County, Virginia on March 16, 1921 to Dennis E. and Grace Dickerson Stanley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Chapman Cox.
Mrs. Cox was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was active in the church and PTA. She also loved gardening and life on the family farm.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Dean Schneider of Grapevine, Texas; son and daughter-in-law Joe and Sandy Cox of Christiansburg, Virginia; granddaughter Katie Schneider and grandson Patrick Cox.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the First United Methodist Church.
