Barry Elwood Ramey, 67, of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA. Barry was born September 28, 1946 in Surry County, North Carolina to the late Elwood Claude Ramey and Willard Lowe Ramey.

He is survived by daughter Joy Leandra Ramey of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; son Barry Jason Ramey of Low Gap, North Carolina; grandson Matthew Wayne Ramey; fiancée Tena Frazier of Woodlawn, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-Law: Bryanna & Don Isaacs of Pilot Mount, North Carolina, Cathy Ramey and Russell Crouse, and Donna Ramey Estes of Low Gap, North Carolina. Six nieces and Nephews, 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Larry Stone officiating. Burial will follow in the Coal Creek Cemetery, Galax, Virginia.The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock at the funeral home.
