Barney Lamar Wilson, age 76, of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday December 16, 2023 in his home.

Barney was born on December 27, 1946 in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Edd Wilson and Vivian Smith Wilson. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his sister Sandra Miller and brother Joe Wilson.

He is survived by his mother Vivian Smith Wilson of Galax, Virginia; son & daughter-in-law Shon and Shera Wilson of Bell Buckle, Tennessee; sister and brother-in-law Patty and Gary Adkins of Galax, Virginia; sister Kathy Halsey of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Caylea, Eric, Jordan, and Elli; great grandchildren Norah, Lennon, Sophie, and Everleigh; as well as several nieces and nephews and special friend Pat Reavis of Galax, Virginia.

The graveside service will be held Wednesday December 20, 2023 at 2:00PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Jarrod Wilson officiating, burial will follow.
