Barbara Ann Williams age 70 of Galax Virginia passed away Monday, February 17, 2025 at her home.

Barbara was born in Galax, Virginia on December 13, 1954 to James and Edna Ruth Allen Fender. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gregory Leon William; son Jason Smith and brother James Carroll Fender..

She is survived by her daughters Katrina Williams of Hillsville, Virginia; Tara Mayo of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; sons Marty Smith and Gregory Williams, Jr. both of Galax, Virginia; sister Brenda Fender of Roanoke, Virginia; brother Vincent Lee Edwards of Galax, Virgina; twelve grandchildren Adriana Williams, Natalie Garcia; Anderson Garcia; Jacianna Williams; Jayden Mayo, Issabella Rodriquez; Jocelina Mayo, Achilles Rodriques; Martina Smith; Alexis Smith; Marleena Smith and Chloe Smith; ; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in the Allen Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
