Barbara Jean Goodson Sizemore age 83 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday March 28, 2021 in the Carrington Place in Rural Retreat, Virginia.

Mrs. Sizemore was born in Marion, North Carolina on May 7, 1937 to Johnny Harvey and Mabel Thompkins Goodson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R.C. Sizemore; daughters Julie Stoneman and Patty Triplett Price; and two sisters Jackie Sexton and Nell Jo Kregger.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Debra and Bob Kilmer of Pfafftown, North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law Jim and Janie Goodson of Rural Hall, North Carolina; grandchildren and spouses Kristen Long Bodford of Pfafftown, North Carolina ; Stephen and Krista Long of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Carrie and Eric Jackson of Hillsville, Virginia; Susan Prince of West Virginia; Michael Stoneman of Georgia; TeNisha Vera and Jaime of Oklahoma; Tabatha  Price of Oklahoma; Stephanie Price Argueta of Georgia; Bridget  Price Poole of Oklahoma; Aaron and Melinda Price of Colorado; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Bruce Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.

Mask and Social Distancing will be required for the visitation and the funeral service.
