Barbara Sue Neaves-Turman, 55, of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013 in the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. She was born October 1, 1957 in Smyth County, Virginia to the late Billy Joe & Virginia Richardson St. John.

She is survived by her husband Homer Lee Turman of the home; daughter Brandi Neaves of Galax, Virginia; son and special friend Justin Neaves and Stacy Beville of Woodlawn, Virginia; sisters and brother-in-law: Carol "Cindy" & Steve Testerman of Chilhowie, Virginia; Brenda Hunt of Chilhowie, Virginia; mother-in-law: Winnie Turman of Woodlawn; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Curtis and Scarlet Turman of Woodlawn; several nieces and nephews. A special canine companion Lexi also survives.

A memorial service will be held Saturday August 10, 2013 at 6:00 PM at the Mission Love Church with the Rev. Woynal Smythers and Rev. Herman Dudley officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 4 until 6 o'clock at the church.
