Barbara Joan Harmon age 83 of Fries, Virginia passed away Sunday May 14, 2023 in the Woltz Hospice Home.

Mrs. Harmon was born in Grayson County, Virginia on June 14, 1939 to Charles D. and Myrtle Millwood Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister  Margaret Wright; two sisters and brothers-in-law Betty and James "Buck" Davis and Lois and John Jennings, Jr; two brothers and sister-in-law Maurice and Patsy Wright; Charles "Bud" Wright.

She is survived by her husband David Harmon of Fries, Virginia; sons Tim Harmon and fiancee' Lisa Dalton of Fort Payne Alabama; Otis Charles "George" Harmon of Fries, Virginia; sister-in-law Frances Wright of Galax, Virginia; one grandson Justin Harmon; several nieces and nephews; special nieces Monica Moore and family; Lori Bilbrey and family.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Fries Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Tony Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the church.
