Barbara Groseclose Wright age 81 of Fries, Virginia passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at her home.

Mrs. wright was born on February 27, 1933 in Wythe County, Virginia to Straley and Cora Lee Hale Groseclose. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dan D. Wright.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Brenda and David Todd of Matthews, North Carolina; a son and daughter-in-law Jerry D and Sandra C. Wright of Fries, Virginia; grandchildren Amanda J. Todd and Matthew David Todd; great-grandchildren Mason Todd and Hayden Todd; sister Jo Ann Bridges of Speedwell, Virginia; two nephews; special care-givers Curtis and Sue Funk.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice. The family also request no food please.
