Barbara Jo Chappell Farmer age 81 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Monday, February 10, 2020 in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Farmer was born in Lambsburg Virginia on November 24, 1938 to Chris and Frances Duncan Chappell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters Gracie Mabe and Imogene Manuel.

She is survived by her husband Sidney M. Farmer, Sr. of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Martha and Larry Thomas of Pulaski Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Sidney M. and Tamara Farmer, Jr. of Meadows of Dan, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Aaron and Lindsay Farmer; Kaitlin Farmer; Hayden Farmer; Skyla and Patrick Ausel; one great-granddaughter Lilly Farmer; several nieces and nephews; special church family at the Forest Oak Christian Church.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 12 noon in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Butch Isom and Pastor Myron Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
