Barbara Muriel Burnette Bond age 86 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, November 21. 2023  at her home.

Mrs. Bond was born on October 5, 1937 in Carroll County, Virginia to Elmer Ray and Emma Lee Lundy Burnette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers Gene Burnette, Duard Burnette, Willard Burnette and Dallas Burnette, three sisters Freda Burnette, Earlene Beal and Lucille McCoy.

She is survived by her husband Donald Eugene Bond of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Sherman Davis of Woodlawn, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Donnie and Sue Bond of Galax, Virginia; Rickey Bond of Woodlawn, Virginia; Greg and Lora Bond of Galax, Virginia; nine grandchildren  Kevin and Crystal Bond; Larry Lundy; India and Chad Love; Travis and Amanda Bond; Elijah Bond; Kayla and Justin West;  Magen and Alex  Baker; Michael Bond; Ashley Leath; twenty-one great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Gladys Burnette and Burlene Burnette both of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the Cliffview Church of God at 7:00 PM with the Rev. Jackie Poe officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Cliffview Church of God. Burial will be private for the family
