Barbara Jean Alderman, age 73, of Ivanhoe, Virginia passed away Saturday December 22, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Alderman was born in Grayson County, Virginia on May 8, 1945 to Garnett and Osie Haynes Pearman.

She is survived by her husband Glenn Alderman of Ivanhoe, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Alan and Dana Alderman of Roanoke, Virginia; grandchildren Noah Alderman, Jonah Alderman, and Micah Alderman, all of Roanoke, Virginia; sisters Sarah Wright of Ivanhoe, Virginia and Martha Jane Pearman of Wytheville, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; and special church family at Cold Springs United Methodist Church.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday December 26, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Alderman officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Mt. Hope Church.
