Avery Dale Newman age 26 of Elk Creek, Virginia passed away Monday, June 17, 2019 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Avery was born in Richmond, Virginia on June 20, 1992 to Larry Dale Newman and Kimberley Kay Fender. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Arthur Pete Fender; paternal grandmother Mildred A. Winesett Toler; paternal grandfather Linnie Jake Newman; special papa Charles Ellington; special aunt Doris Marie Lineberry.

He is survived by his mother and step-father Kimberley and Andre' Cox of Galax, Virginia; father  Larry Newman of Elk Creek, Virginia; half-brother Harley A. Holden; maternal grandmother Bobbie D. Fender of Woodlawn, Virginia; special uncle Robert Fender of Woodlawn, Virginia; several loving aunts, uncles and cousins; special friend Gleasanna Dixon.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Newman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with the funeral service.
