Avery Bryant Bond age 88 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Bond was born in Fries, Virginia on June 16, 1927 to Raymond J. and Mary Ada Crowder Bryant. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin D. Bond; sister Mary Martin; brothers Herman Bryant and Bill Bryant.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Tommy Richardson of Salem, Virginia; brother-in-law Arthur "Red" Martin of Fries Virginia; niece Mary Elizabeth Sifers; special nieces and caregivers Traci Pierce and husband Earl Pierce, Jr; Heather Shaffner and Patricia Hawks; great-nieces Ivory Pierce; Autumn Pierce and Kristin Shaffner; great-nephew Logan Shaffner.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Anders officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
