Austin Dwayne Steward age 52 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at his home.

Austin was born in Danville, Virginia on April 2, 1973 to Joel Jackson Steward, Sr. and Shirley Reynolds Steward.

He is survived by his wife Christie Dawn Corley Steward of Galax, Virginia; children and spouse Taylor and Colby Reynolds of Evington, Virginia; Schiann Ferguson; Kalie Ferguson; Jesse Simpkins all of Danville, Virginia; two grandchildren Madilynn Reynolds and Grant Reynolds; sisters and brothers-in-law Debra Yeaman and George Calloway of Axton, Virginia; Brenda and Calvin Jones of Providence, North Carolina; Tammy and Tony Hicks of Chatham, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Joel and Kristen Steward, Jr. of Danville, Virginia; Travis and Michelle Corley of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service for all family and friends will be held Sunday, July 27th from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Chatham Ruritan Club Building, 110 Climax Elementary Circles, Chatham, Virginia 24531.
