Audrey Faye Horton known as Susie Horton age 78 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, August 25, 2025 in the Galax Health and Rehab Center.

Susie was born on January 3, 1947 in Galax, Virginia to Claude Raymond and Mary Magdaline Supthin Waller. Ina addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Garnett Horton and a daughter Melissa Brown.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jody and Ricky Sexton; grandchildren and spouses Kristen Adams, Mark and Alisha Adams, Megan McFarland, Amanda Swinney, Chris and Heather McFarland; step -grandchildren Ashley and Amber Sexton; great-grandchildren Caydence Adams, Chloe Hunley, Caysen Hill, Bentley and Braylee Anderson; Waylon and Kimber McFarland; sister Maxine Dowling and special friend Diana Burris and many other friends.

A memorial graveside service will be held Friday September 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Fairview Church Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Gregory officiating.
