Audene Lineberry Isom's Obituary
Audene Isom, 89, a loving mother and grandmother of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Isom was born on October 10, 1921 in Carroll County, Virginia to Kenny and Myrtle Taylor Lineberry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Isom.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Dale and Darlene Isom; daughters and sons-in-law Jean and Glenn Phipps; Shirley and John Porter all of Galax, Virginia; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; special friend Edith Knight.
A graveside service will be held Friday, December 31, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Monta Vista Cemetery with Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Willing Partners, 544 East Stuart Drive, Galax, Virginia 24333.
The family wants to express gratitude for the kindness and loving care of the staff at Waddell Nursing Home and the nurses and doctors of the Twin County Regional Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
