Arthur Ralph Parks age 81 of Galax, Va. passed away Friday October 20, 2006 in Laurel Meadows Lifecare. He was born in Grayson County, Va. on October 30, 1924 to the late John & Ollie Cornett Parks. He is survived by his step-mother Ruth Parks of Roanoke, Va.; brother Cornett Parks of Galax, Va.; sisters-in-law & spouse Marie & Colen Combs and Elsie Leagan all of Galax, Va.; Gladys Parks of Sparta, N.C.; brother-in-law & spouse Wayne & Betty Smith of Churchville, Maryland; several nieces & nephews. A graveside service was held Monday October 23,2006 at 11:00 AM in Blue Rige Chapel Cemetery with Pete Killon officiating. There was no visitation at the funeral home.
