Arthur Gayle Hawks' Obituary
Arthur Gayle Hawks age 76 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in Fries, Virginia.
Mr. Hawks was born in Grayson County, Virginia on April 15,1940 to Arthur Leonard and Nannie Luper Hawks.
He proudly served his country in the US Air Force.
He is survived by his wife Donna Warrick Hawks; daughter and son-in-law Kendra and Shawn Wilson all of Galax, Virginia; son Steven Hawks of Simpsonville, South Carolina; grandchildren Heather Jones and April Wilson; great-grandson Cayden Anthony; sister and brother-in-law Frances and Harold Pugh of Disputanta, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Lee Thomas and the Rev. Joe Carrico officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 noon until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
