Rev. Basil Burcham age 84 of Galax, Va. passed away Monday, March 5, 2007 at Waddell Nursing Home. Mr. Burcham was born in Carroll County, Va.on April 1, 1922 to the late Alexander & Minnie Goad Burcham. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Edith Rippey Burcham and a daughter Agnes Bryant. He is survived by his daughters & son-in-law, Helen B. Boyd of Meadows of Dan, Va.; Rita & Mike Bunn of Woodlawn, Va.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 2:00 PM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Bob Adams & Rev. Avis Nester officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
