Arlie Austin White age 83 of Elk Creek, Virginia passed away Friday, August 29, 2025.

Mrs. White was born in Virginia on March 6, 1942 to Hurley Haswell and Clarice Marie Lovill Austin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Verlon White and a son James E. White.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law with whom she made her home Jonathan V. and Janie White of Elk Creek, Virginia; daughter-in-law Sharon White of Galax, Virginia; sister Margaret Gunn of Little Field, Texas; brother and sister-in-law Bob and Alice Austin of Kingsport, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.

At the request of Mrs. White her body will be cremated and placed in the Mausoleum at Monta Vista Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

In memory of the most loving mother any son could ask for in life.
