Archie "Bud" Eugene Burcham, 84, of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020 in the Woltz Hospice Home, Dobson, North Carolina. Bud was born April 1, 1935 in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Robert and Rausey Burcham. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters: Alma Vaughan, Laura Mae Leonard, Dinah Delp and Faye Diamond; three brothers Arnold Burcham, Buck Burcham and Buford Burcham.

Bud proudly served his country in the United States Army,

He is survived by his wife Iva Burcham of the home; daughter Sherry Burcham of Galax; son and daughter-in-law Mike and Debbie Burcham of Vinton, Virginia; grandchildren Eric Burcham; Shelly Carpenter and Michael, Paige Burcham; great grandchildren Grant Carpenter and Madi Carpenter; sister and brother-in-law: Norma Easter and Jack of Richmond, Virginia; several nieces and nephews and a very special friend Wayne Bullins.

The funeral service will be held Friday, January 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Mt. Olivet Union Baptist Church in Baywood with Elders Herbert Rutherford and Wayne Todd officiating. Interment will follow in the church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
