Annie Mae Jones age 83 of Fries, Va. passed away Sunday, August 26, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Jones was born in Grayson County, Va. on November 21, 1923 to Wesley & Alice Viola Taylor Stanley. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Everett Jones of Fries, Va.; children and spouses, Violet & J.E. Akers of Marion, S.C.; Clarence & Carolyn Jones of Galax, Va.; Juanita & Stanley Bedsaul of Galax, Va.; Bobbie & Charlotte Jones of Fries, Va.; Katherine & David Haulsey of Hillsville, Va.; Barbara & Wes McKinney of Ivanhoe, Va.; sisters Alma Perline Wooten of Independence, Va.; Loella Mathena of Galax, Va.; Ruby Barber of Pleasant Garden, N.C.; ten grandchildren; one step-grandchild; eight great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 2:00 PM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Robert Adams, Rev. Garry Adams and Rev. Robert Lanter, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
