Annie Irene Goad's Obituary
Annie Irene Goad age 89 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at her home.
Mrs. Goad was born on January 22, 1921 in Carroll County, Virginia to Lester & Maggie Roberts Fortner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Rush Goad.
She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Bobby & Betty Goad of Galax, Va.; grandsons & spouses Michael & Nancy Goad; Marcus Goad; Nathan & Karen Goad; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sisters Ethel Stikes of Florida; Helen Whitaker of Galax, Va.; several nieces &
nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 11,2010 at 11:00 am in the Galax First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Cas Horton and Rev. Bob Adams officiating. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior the funeral service. Burial will be in Pope's Knob Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
