Anna Harrington Phibbs age 95 passed away Tuesday, June 14 in Chesapeake Virginia.

She was born on April 9, 1916 to Lonnie Ellis Harrington and Elania Cedella Parks in Wythe County Virginia. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Paul Phibbs.

She is survived by her daughter, and son- in-law Barbara and Frank Porter of Chesapeake; son and daughter-in-law Donald and Ruby Phibbs of Newport News Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Cathy and Charles Bohan; W. Rex and Jenine Sparks: Melissa and John Tarter: and D. Edward and Jennifer Phibbs; great-grandchildren Holly Tarter; Thea Sparks; Corey Tarter; Emily Bohan; Molly Bohan; Olivia Tarter; Lillian Bohan; Wade and Shannon Sparks; Zachary and Mario Phibbs. She is also survived by one sister Myrtle Simmerman and one brother Otto Harrington.

The funeral service will be held Saturday June 18 at 12:00 in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel in Galax .The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery.
