Anna Ruth Hardin Hale age 92 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Hale was born in Wythe County, Virginia on February 7, 1921 to Michael J. and Ocie Umberger Hardin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Richard Hale.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Juanita H. and Tex Brown of Hillsville, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Conley and Reba Hale of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Connie Hale; Begina Gwyn; Terena Crawford and Richard Brown; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the First Christian Church with the Rev. Randy Morris and the Rev. James Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
