Ann Pope Taylor age 73 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 in the Forsyth Medical Center.
Miss Taylor was born in Forsyth County, North Carolina on June 26, 1942 to John Britton and Rebecca Ruth Melton Taylor, Sr..
She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law John Britton and Elizabeth Taylor, Jr. of Galax, Virginia; nephews and spouse Richard and Gay Taylor of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina; Brian Taylor of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Chad Taylor of Asheboro, North Carolina; one great-niece and three great-nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior to the funeral service at the First United Methodist Church.
