Andrew Johnson Coulson's Obituary
Andrew Johnson Coulson age 97 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mr. Coulson was born on April 14, 1914 in Carroll County, Virginia to Samuel and Maggie Lawson Coulson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Alma Robinson Coulson; sister Lena Jennings and brother Homer Coulson.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Christine Coulson and Patrick Martin of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina; grandchildren Emma Smythers Edwards; Joan Smythers Miller and Curtis McBride; step-granddaughters Michelle Martin and Diane Yang; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Oak Grove Christian Church with Rev. Bobby Kirby and Rev. Norman Goad officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery with Military Rites by the Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Saturday from one o'clock until service time at the Oak Grove Christian Church.
