Anderson Sanford Alley's Obituary
Anderson Sanford Alley age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, January 7, 2011 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mr. Alley was born in Carroll County, Virginia on October 30, 1926 to Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Jefferson Alley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by children Dionna Alley; Ted Alley; Jesse Alley and Bitha Alley.
He is survived by the mother of his children Niriel Alley; children and their spouses Clifton Alley; Guyda and Johnny Melton; Jerrell and Linda Alley all of Galax, Virginia; Sue and Kenneth Green of Woodlawn, Virginia; step-son and his wife Cleve and Mildred Sawyers of Woodlawn, Virginia; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Monday, January 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Myron Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Alley Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
