Alvis Eugene Burkhardt's Obituary
Alvis Eugene Burkhardt age 64 of Fries, Va. passed away Friday, September 5, 2008 in North Carolina Baptist Hospital. Mr. Burkhardt was born on May 21, 1944 in Surry County, N.C. to Barry & Virginia Cole Burkhardt. He is survived by his wife Shirley J. Burkhardt of Fries, Va.; daughter & son-in-law Karen & Jeff Hanks of Max Meadows, Va.; son Darrin of Fries, Va.; brothers Arlis Burkhardt of Harriman, Tennessee; Roger Burkhardt of Mt. Airy, N.C.; three grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the McKenzie Cemetery with Pastor Rick Watson officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by Grayson VFW Post 7726. A guest book is available on line at www.vaughanguynn.com
