Alta Louise Cruise Vaughn age 82 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Vaughn was born in Galax, Virginia on December 3,1938 to James Roy and Gladys Hall Cruise. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carol Dean Vaughn.

She is survived by her son and his special friend Mark Vaughn and Donna Taylor; daughters and sons-in-law Cindy and Marlin Webb; Carolyn and Charlie Beamer all of Woodlawn, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law Shirley and Leonard Marshall of Woodlawn, Virginia; Marie and Richard Sullivan of South Carolina; brother J.B. Cruise of Galax, Virginia; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terri Gregory and the Rev. Camet Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 M until time for the funeral service at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, Galax, Virginia.
