Alma Lee Strong West age 65 of Fancy Gap, Virginia passed away Tuesday, April 4,2017 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Alma was born on December 9, 1951 in Maryland to James Thomas and Minnie Owen Wilson Strong.
She is survived by her husband Michael West of Fancy Gap, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law April and Steve Hodge of Galax, Virginia; Cindy Hash of Independence, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Jennifer Haga and Josh of Galax, Virginia; Julia West and Eric of York, South Carolina; Mary Hodge of Galax, Virginia; Royce Hash of Independence, Virginia; great-grandchildren Sara Haga; Emily Haga; Malachi Barrett; sisters and brothers-in-law Doris and Linsey Williams of Aberdeen, Maryland; Joan and Don Cordell of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
A memorial service will be held Friday April 7, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. John Leek officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
