Alma Lucille Martin Wilson age 93 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 in the Galax Health and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Wilson was born on August 4, 1924 in Galax, Virginia to Lonnie and Ora Thompson Martin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Earlie Wilson; a step-son Robert Wilson; sisters Frances Moretz, Lola Mae Joines and Pauline Hall; brothers Thomas Martin and Bill Martin.

She is survived by a sister-in-law Doris Martin of Galax, Virginia; nieces Betty Moretz Musser; Rebecca Sue Joines Burnett; Patty Hall Smith; Jennie Marie Hall Schierer,, Mary Frances Martin Hall and, Betty Martin, nephews Jimmy Ray Moretz, Clifford Ray Joines, William Grady Joines,  Dennis Ray Martin and Carl Lee Martin; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday June 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. James Cowley and Pastor Ernie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Hillcrest Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Hillcrest Baptist Church, 1218 South Main Street, Galax, Virginia 24333.
