Alma Ruth Johnson Hill age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.

Mrs. Hill was born on March 25, 1936 in Sparta, North Carolina to Robert Isaac and Mattie Roberts Johnson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Grady Marion Hill; daughter Rebecca Jane Absher and brother Junior Johnson.

She is survived by her children and spouses Diana Lynn and Lynwood Ray of Pipers Gap, Virginia;  Barry Craig and Nina Sue Hill of Thomasville, North Carolina; Grady Michael and Robin Hill  of Winston-Salem, North Carolina;  Robert Mitch Hill of Pipers Gap, Virginia; Steven Scott and Kim Hill of Perryville, Maryland; sister Barbara Murphy of Sparta, North Carolina; brothers and sister-in-law Jack Johnson of Elkin, North Carolina; Carl and Evelyn Johnson of Sparta, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Harvey Carico officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
