Alma Sue Burnett Horton better known as Sue Horton age 83 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, November 20. 2024 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Sue was born on May 20, 1941 in Carroll County, Virginia to Fred and Glema Warf Burnett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Guy Emerson Horton; siblings Ed Taylor; Joy Hill and Joe Burnett.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Chris Eastridge of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Tim and Lisa Horton of Elk Creek, Virginia; Anthony Horton and Angie Webb of Woodlawn, Virginia; brother Jack Burnett; five grandchildren Krystal Sparks; Matthew Horton; Alyssa Horton; Lily Utt and Josie Leonard; one great-grandchild Rowan Utt .

The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Sammy Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
