Allen Jackson Whittaker age 73 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at his home.

Allen was born in Radford, Virginia on June 28, 1948 to Andrew and Estelle Purdy Whittaker.

He proudly served his country in the US Army.

He is survived by his wife Linda Redd Whittaker of Galax, Virginia; step daughters and husbands Kristen and Jeff Campbell of Elk Creek, Virginia; Tiffany and Randy Leagan; step-son Patrick Redd  all of Galax, Virginia; six grandchildren Ethan Campbell; Savanah Leagan; Justin Campbell; George Harper IV; Chasen Redd and Tanna Redd; one great-grandchild Keegan Youngberg.

A memorial service will be held in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, Virginia on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 12:00 PM with the Rev. Anthony Varser officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Old Dominion VFW Post 1184.
