Alice Lawson Taylor age 79 of Ivanhoe, Virginia passed away Thursday night at her home.

Mrs. Taylor was born on December 13, 1939 in Wythe County, Virginia. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harry L. Taylor.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Tim and Vickie Taylor of Fries, Virginia; grandson and fiance' Levi Taylor and Dora Bilbrey; granddaughters and spouses Kayla and Matt Slate; Brandie and Brandon Delp; sisters Addie Viars; Ruth Anderson and Mary Goodman all of Pulaski, Virginia; brothers Foster Lawson of Ivanhoe, Virginia; Marion Lawson of Fort Chiswell, Virginia; sister-in-law Olivia Taylor; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 3:30 PM at the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church with the Rev. Matt Linkous officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:30 PM until time for the funeral service at the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church.
