Alice Leone Goodson's Obituary
Alice Leone Goodson age 90 of Fries, Virginia passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 in the Golden Living-Blue Ridge Center.
Mrs. Goodson was born on April 5, 1920 in Wythe County, Virginia to Sherd Asbury and Blanche Mae Delby King. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Goodson.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Judy and Wayne Weatherman of Summerfield, North Carolina; Paula and Wayne Wright; Nancy and Robert Royal all of Fries, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Ralph and Brenda Goodson; Allen and Wanda Goodson; Gregory and Rita Goodson all of Fries, Virginia; brother-in-law Donald Blair of Ivanhoe, Virginia; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Monday, April 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Haga officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from six until eight at the Grace Baptist Church.
