Alice Naomi Dunford age 67 of Fries, Va. passed away Sunday, April 8, 2007 at Forsyth Medical Center. Alice was born on April 3, 1940 in Boutertot County, Va. to the late Rev. Albert & Alice Ratcliffe Linville. She is survived by her husband James R. Linville of Fries, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law Michael & Debra Dunford of Fries, Va.; Timmy & Sharon Dunford of Clayton, N.C.; Steven & Anita Dunford of Galax, Va.; sisters & brothers-in-law Ruth & Vernon Beasley; Esther & Wade Easter; Lou & Wayne Barker all of Mt. Airy, N.C.; Darlene & Richard Porter of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Wanda & Jack Marshall of Fries, Va.; Sherry & Robbie Hooven of Galax, Va.; Connie & Freddie Bonds of Patrick Springs, Va.; brothers & sister-in-law James & Ruby Linville of Georgia; David Linville of Fries, Va.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Independence Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Claude Holderfield, Rev. Stacy Redd and Rev. Timmy Dunford officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
