Aldena Ella Bedsaul Cornett age 94 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Mrs. Cornett was born in Grayson County, Virginia on August 7, 1921 to John Bruce and Thelma Elizabeth Harrison Bedsaul. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Herman Cornett; daughter Mary Kay Cornett; sisters Lander Bedsaul; Juanita Padgett and Lena Poe; half-brothers Dewey, Robert, Lewis and Tinker Bedsaul.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Larry and Lois Cornett; Dean and Jewell Cornett; Randy and Tracy Cornett; grandchildren and spouses Ellen Cornett Parks (Ron); Jason Cornett (Brandi); Matthew Cornett; Ty Cornett; Bentley Cornett; five great-grandchildren; half-sisters and spouse Dorothy Ramsinghami of Radford, Virginia; Barbara Ann Alley; Faye and Hobert Bailey all of Galax, Virginia; half-brothers and spouse Wade Bedsaul of Iowa; Johnny and Wanda Bedsaul of Galax, Virginia; sister-in-law Lelia Poe of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, August 21, 2015 at 4:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Barry Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Comers Rock Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 3:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
