Mrs. Aileene H. Hale, age 90, formerly of Galax, passed away Monday, July 1, 2019 in the Skyline Nursing and Rehab Center, Floyd, Virginia. Mrs. Hale was born in Grayson County, Virginia to the late William Lee Hale and Cora Florence Patton Hale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Elmer A. Hale and siblings Nena Hale Hash, Katy Lee Hale Laffoon, Randolph Hale, McCawley Hale and Peggy Sue Hale.

Mrs. Hale is survived by her daughter Kimberly Hale Chiapetto and husband Dean of Floyd, Virginia; grandson Adam Hale Chiapetto of Roanoke, Virginia; sisters Helen Hale Compton of Galax, Virginia; and Jama Hale Layne of Radford, Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Locust Grove Church with Craig Embree officiating. Interment will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
