Mrs. Agnes White, age 83, of Freeport, Florida passed away November 17, 2010. She was born June 19, 1927 in Hillsville, Virginia to Bart and Beulah Dickens Lewis.
Mrs. White was by Baptist faith, and enjoyed attending church with her husband in the Pentecostal churches. She was also an accomplished artist. She enjoyed painting, and had the privilege of painting Miss America, among many other professional paintings.
Mrs. White was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Gordan Lowe, Sr. and two brothers Weldon and Clifton Lewis.
Mrs. White is survived by her loving husband Ottway White of Point Washington, Florida; one son Gordon Lowe, Jr. and wife Cheri of Glendale, Florida; two step-sons Ira James White of Sandhills, Florida and Ottaway White, Jr of Atlanta, Georgia; one step-daughter Betty Barton of Summerville, South Carolina, also survived by many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, November 19, 2010 at Spring Valley Holiness Church; Strickland Road, Ebro, Florida.
Funeral services were held 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Spring Valley Holiness Church with Reverends Louis Taunton, Horace McCormick and Joel Glenn officiating.
A graveside service will be held Friday, November 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Oakland United Methodist Church Cemetery with Elder Edward Bowman officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home is in charge of the graveside service.
