Agnes Roberta Lineberry age 86 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Mrs. Lineberry was born in Galax, Virginia on August 4, 1930 to Fred and Mary (Polly) Dixon Lineberry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Elwood Lineberry; son Robert Lineberry and siblings Eva, Almeda, Kathleen, Mary Frances, Clayton, Andrew, Howard, Wayne, June, Caldwell, Charles and Don.
In early years she worked at Harris Marshall Hosiery Mills and went on to retire from Hanes Knitwear She then worked at Wal-Mart as a people greeter. Agnes loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved to cook and enjoyed holidays with her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother; great-grandmother; sister and friend. She was thoughtful and sweet to everyone she met. She is an angel who has gone home to be with Jesus, and will be forever missed.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and H.L. Carter of Clemmons, North Carolina; five grandchildren and spouses Kyleane and Vincent Kirby; Robbie and Sissy Lineberry; Dustin and Samantha Carter; Andrew and Kelsey Carter; Tara Carter and Chad Graves; thirteen great-grandchildren Dominick, Alexandria Alizah, Aaliyah, Tessa, Bentley, Zander, Beckett, Micah, Robert, Willow, Danica and Abby; sister Inez Burnette.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Sammy Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebron Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
