Abby Gail Rippey Vaughan age 60 of Fancy Gap, Virginia passed away Wednesday October 13, 2021 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Abby was born on March 26, 1961 in Galax, Virginia to Harmon and Lois Edwards Rippey.

In addition to her mother Lois Edwards Rippey of Galax, Virginia, Abby is survived by a daughter Amanda Kelly Smith of Burlington, North Carolina; son Jason Scott Smith of Fancy Gap, Virginia; two sisters Fonda Lunsford and Julia Bowers; brother and sister-in-law Benji and Jackie Rippey all of Galax, Virginia; two grandchildren Logan Alexzander Page and Ayden Cole Oliver.

A memorial service will be held Sunday October 17, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Calvary Love Church with Pastor Gray Cook, Pastor Jimmy Young and Diedrich Phillips officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
